Commissions

Like any artist, I need to eat, drink and pay my rent, that’s why I’m providing the Galdrastafir as acrylic paintings for commission. Believe in their magick or don`t, but for anyone interested in runes, paganism and the old Gods, they are a unique and extraordinary piece of art. For all those believing in magick, the images can additionally be energetically charged and activated.

Below you ’ll find a variety of Galdrastafir I offer to paint for you, you can choose the combination of colors, as well as the size of the image, yourself. That ’ s why prices vary, they are depending on the complexity of the symbol, the size of the image, the choice of colors and on wether you want the image to be energetically charged and activated, or not.
It’s important to know that sigils that are activated this way, unfold their effect rather slowly, so if you want them to operate faster, it’s recommended to produce a second version (a simple sketch is enough for that purpose) and burn it, as this accelerates the impact. Additionally, I can do this for you as well.

The symbols themselves can be ordered either in gold or silver paint (respectively in silver-glittery style, which looks more noble and gives a mirror-like effect, but is extremely elaborate and therefore more expensive), contours always come in black. The combination of colors in the background can be choosen freely.

Naturally, I don’t take any responsibility of the effect of the Galdrastafir. The range of symbols presented on this page will be extended from time to time. If you have already found a Galdrastafir elsewhere, that is not listed below, and want me to paint it, or if you have any questions or are interested in ordering one of them, feel free to contact me, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

If you are interested in the Galdrastafir as a tattoo design, you should contact Justin Foster, who specializes in that, as tattoos require some additional knowledge and shouldn’t be designed too elaborately .

Vegvisir

Vegvisir means something like “road map“, in the category digital art you’ll find a work of mine describing the meaning of this symbol with a text from an old, Icelandic manuscript.
There are four different variations of this symbol, all from different manuscripts. In my opinion, this symbol can be very well used for spiritual journeys, especially shamanic journeys. A special design made for a shamanic drum would serve this purpose very well and is already in the works.

Vegvisir: Vigfusson-1860
Vegvisir: Geirsson-1868
Vegvisir: Unknown-1865
Vegvisir: Eggertsson-1940

Aegishjalmur

Aegishjalmur means “helm of awe” and is used to put fear in your enemies. In earlier times, it has been carved into helmets, today as a painting (if charged and activated), it can make sure people that are not well-disposed stay away from you and your home.

This symbol also exists in four different variations from different old manuscripts:

Aegishjalmur Version 1
Aegishjalmur Version 3
Aegishjalmur Version 2
Aegishjalmur Version 4

Lukkustafur

Lukkustafur means “luck staff” and shall bring the carrier luck. There are three different versions of this symbol, the first one comes with an old Icelandic charm in runic script.

Lukustafur Version 1
Lukustafur Version 2
Lukustafur Version 3

Liftstafur

Liftstafur

I couldn’t find any translation for Liftstafur, but I guess it means something like “life staff”, as it’s meant to provide a good life.

Elskastafur

Elskastafur

Elskastafur means “love staff“, it shall unite you with your love.

Elskastafur is one of the superstaves, which are the most complex and most beautiful of the staves.

Astarstafur

Astarstafur

I couldn`t find a translation for Astarstafur as well, but its purpose is the same as the one of Elskastafur, it provides love.

The only difference is that Elskastafur belongs to the superstaves, if this makes it more effective is only a matter of believe, in my opinion.

Veldismagn

Veldismagn

Veldismagn means “a lot of power”, its purpose refers to strength, but as I believe, it’s more about inner than physical strength.

Himinbarnahjalmur

Himinbarnahjalmur

Himinbarnahjalmur means “divine helmet“, its purpose is courage.

Rotaskross

Rotaskross

Rotaskross is the most complex one of all superstaves, it`s for spiritual protection and since I painted it for myself and have it hanging on my wall I can guarantee that it works great!

The translation of Rotaskross is “large crucifix” and it has mystical Jewish, as well as Christian and masonic references.

Soolar Lilia

Soolar Lilia

Soolar Lilia is for the safety of your family or everyone you love, which is kind of a more modern definition of family.

Hringhjalmur

Hringhjalmur

Hringhjalmur is for wealth and abundance, the translation means something like “ring of helmets“.
